Electrolysis

Electrolysis is a relatively painless hair removal procedure, where patients experience the sensation of heat or tingling in the area being treated. Electrolysis uses a low-level electrical current to eliminate the dermal papilla, a part of the follicular connective tissue sheath rich in blood and nerves that feeds the growing hair. A fine, sterilized probe is gently inserted into the follicle alongside the hair shaft down to the dermal papilla. Once the dermal papilla has been eliminated, there is no way a hair can be regenerated from that follicle. Many hairs will be eliminated with only one treatment, but some will need two or more treatments to achieve PERMANENCY. The number of treatments will vary depending on the amount and coarseness of existing hair.
